In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّـهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا – الأحزاب: ٢٣
Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah [i.e. they have gone out for Jihad, and showed not their backs to the disbelievers], of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred), and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e.they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah] in the least. (Al-Ahzab: 23)
It is with great sadness to have learnt that the Islamic Emirate’s governor and military chief for Helmand province, Al Haj Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund, attained the highest rank of martyrdom in a cowardly airstrike of the American invaders last night, surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.
Shaheed Al Haj Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund whose real name was Al Haj Mullah Abdul Raheem, fought against the American invasion with absolute courage and firmness and neutered the great many strategies of American generals.
Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund was an obedient, valiant, sincere and astute Mujahid who managed to cleanse ninety five percent of Helmand from the presence of America and her stooge regime and laid the groundwork for the rule of Islamic Emirate through his effective struggle and tactics.
Al Haj Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund shall endure as a distinguished figure in our hearts and his courage and valiancy shall be a model for other Mujahideen. Shaheed Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund has trained hundreds of personnel and leaders like himself in Helmand province who shall continue their struggle and Jihad against the invaders and their hirelings with an even greater purpose, and all praise belong to Allah.
The Islamic Emirate considers the martyrdom of Al Haj Mullah Abdul Manan Akhund a great loss for the Muslim nation and the Islamic Emirate. However, we wish to remind the Mujahideen, nation and all well-wishers that martyrdom is the greatest aspiration of all our junior and senior members and that martyrdoms will neither weaken our ranks nor stop the religion of Allah (SwT) and Jihad. Allah (SwT) shall replace our martyrs with even more effective members and leaders but it is important that we continue the path of our sincere, obedient and courageous leaders, follow in their foot steps and keep their struggle alive.
The enemy should also not think that the martyrdom of our leaders will shake our determination or that they shall make progress. On the contrary, the martyrdom of our leaders will only serve to invigorate and energize the sensitivities of our Mujahideen and they shall further intensify their struggle against the invaders and their stooges, Allah willing.

The ‘Military Times’ website published a report citing the US Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, as saying that the United States wants to find a solution to the Afghan war but that does not involve troop withdrawal.
Mattis made these comments at Reagan National Defense Forum.
The Islamic Emirate wants to remind US Secretary of Defense Mattis and other officials that the valiant Afghan Muslim nation is absolutely determined in forcing the occupying American forces out of Afghanistan.
The political efforts of the Islamic Emirate for the withdrawal of American invaders should not be misconstrued as meaning that the American invaders will not be targeted militarily or that withdrawing and not withdrawing from Afghanistan are options chosen by American Generals!!!
The Islamic Emirate has afforded American an opportunity to end the occupation of Afghanistan and resolve their concerns through political means and at a minimum cost. But if the American officials and generals are of the belief that their occupying forces will remain in Afghanistan and that they will be left alone, then they should reassess their talks.
We will not tire or be disappointed in our Jihad. The Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate shall continue their armed struggle and Jihad until the withdrawal of the last American invader.
The biggest mistake of American military officials is that they do not adopt the path of reasoning and rationale and always use force and stubbornness even when it will not give results. The Afghan Mujahid nation has the right of forcing occupiers from their land through every medium possible and have twice forced out occupiers (British and Soviets) from Afghanistan over the past century. The Americans should read our history and learn a lesson from it.
