NOTE: Below are all of the primary source materials that I did not post while on vacation. All materials are posted by date that they were first released to the various fora. I hope this is helpful to those who were also on vacation during this time period and did not get the opportunity to follow the fora activities.

Anṣār al-Mujāhidīn English Forum in honor of its two year anniversary presents an English translation of  As-Saḥāb’s Ramaḍān Sermons series #1 by Abū Zayd al-Kūwaytī “Ramaḍān Intensive Course”

The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan presents its list of martyrs for the year 1431 H. According to them, fifty-two individuals were killed.
December 25:


al-Furqān Media, which is affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq [al-Qā’idah in Iraq] has released “Risen Alive #3,” which is one of their many martyrology series’

December 26:

Kavkaz Jihād Blog translates into English a jihādī story titled “Fight in the Forest,” which was originally published by Hunafa.
December 28:
Ḥizb al-Islāmī al-Turkistānī [Turkestan Islamic Party] released its martyrology video series  “Lovers of Paradise #5,″ which you can see below. For previous videos see #3 and #4.

We have united with ours brothers, Shabāb, ‘we will continue the war we the government and AMISOM and we will also teach Uganda And Burudi lessons here in Mogadishu and in their country.

NOTE: Below is the official announcement of merger between the two Somali groups Ḥizb al-Islām and Ḥarakat al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn. First, is a joint audio message with representatives from the two groups and second, is the official press released published by  al-Shabāb’s media wing Al-Katāi’b Media. Since both the audio and press release are in Somali I cannot provide a summary. That said, a member of the Anṣār al-Mujāhidīn English Forum wrote ten items that were highlighted:

1. To build an Islamic Caliphate on the path Of Our Holy Prophet SAW..
2. To continue the jihād path till we erase Shirk from the earth and to bring up the tawḥīd.
3. To Confront the International Crusade War
4. To follow the Law Of Allah on the earth, to make justice between the people and to remove the oppression.
5. To follow the creed of al-Walā’ wa’l-Barā’.
6. To Bring Back the Lost Muslims Lands..
7. To Support the oppressed Muslims and to free the Muslim prisoners
8. To Unite the people under the banner of Tawḥīd
9. To Prepare Islamic Society which loves each other and have good creed and ethics

New video from Ḥarakat al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn's media outlet al-Katāi'b: "Message to the Ummah and Inspire The Believers"

NOTE: Christopher Anzalone has tweeted some interesting information about this video thus far:

Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen’s new video, “And Incite the Believers,” features fighters from abroad, mostly it seems of Somali descent.
The video clearly states in the intro that it is a recruiting video for those abroad. It features a number of foreigners & diaspora.
Among those quoted in the video are Saleh ‘Ali Saleh al-Nabhani (killed in U.S. military strike Sep. 14, 2009) and Abu Yahya al-Libi.
At least some non-Somali diaspora foreign fighters appear, including one from Pakistan and one from Sudan (a guess as he speaks Arabic).
With regard to a number of the other “foreigners” it’s unclear whether they are from the Somali diaspora or are “foreign” foreign.
The “foreign fighters,” diaspora and “foreign” foreign, hail from Sweden, Britain, Tanzania, Sudan, Kenya, and Pakistan.

New statement from Ḥarakat al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn's al-Katāi'b Media Foundation: "Resuming of data"

NOTE: According to al-Katāi’b Media Foundation they did not distribute information for more than two months due to a disruption in their communication system. It is currently back up and they apologized for the lack of communication to those who were concerned. al-Katāi’b Media Foundation is the outlet for Ḥarakat al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn, an al-Qā’idah-affiliated organization located in Somalia. For more on al-Katāi’b Media Foundation read Christopher Anzalone’s excellent overview of it and its evolution over the past few years.

Al-Katāi’b Media releases new video statement: "Message to the French People From the Imprisoned Security Adviser Denis Allex"

NOTE: Yesterday, Al-Katāi’b Media released a video message where a French security advisor Denis Allex pleads to French citizens and his government to release him. He is currently held by al-Qā’idah ally Ḥarakat al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn. Also, Allex appears to be wearing a prison jumpsuit. Could one argue that this is a veiled message about Guantanamo Bay? The entire video is embedded below. For more on the statement see the full AFP story:

The Frenchman cited the demands of his captors, Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-inspired Shebab rebels, which include the immediate end to any political and military support from France for the Somali government and the withdrawal of all foreign advisors and private security firms in Somalia.

Statement from the Islamic State of Iraq: "Congratulations to the Brothers in Somalia With Announcing al-Katāi'b Media"

بسـم الله الرحمـن الرحيـم

{ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لا يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلا نَصَبٌ وَلا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا يَطَأُونَ مَوْطِئاً يُغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَيْلاً إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ}[التوبة: من الآية120].

الحمد لله ربّ العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على نبيّنا محمّد، وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين… وبعد:
ففي خطوةٍ مسدّدة موفّقة، أعلن إخوة التوحيد والجهاد في أرض العزّة وجيش العُسرة في الصّومال الحبيبة، عن ولادة مؤسسة إعلاميّة جديدة؛ ونحنُ في مؤسسّة الفرقان إذ نهنّئهم ونباركُ لهم، ونشدُّ على أيديهم إقدامهم على مثل هذا المشروع المهم والخطوة النّوعية..
فإننا نسأل الله أن يجعل عملهم خالصاً لوجهه الكريم، وأن تكون هذه المؤسسة الفتيّة نافذةً جديدة تُشرق منها شمس التوحيد، وتُحيي بإنتاجها الإعلامي قلوباً طال عليها الأمدُ، وحَجَبت عنها ظلماتُ الباطلِ نورَ الحقّ ولذّة النفير والجهاد في سبيل الله.
ولتحضى أمّتنا الجريحة بفرصة أخرى تطلُّ منها على أملها الحقيقيّ القادم، والذي سيحفظ لها بيضتها ويأخذ بيدها لسواحل العزة وبرّ الأمان والخير والرّفعة، وليدفع عنها مكر المنافقين وكيدَ المجرمين، وفي مقدّمتهم ذئاب الحملة الصّليبية الجديدة وأذنابها الدّائرين في فلكها…
